Gua Musang Eco Challenge 2009 with some of 83 participants competing a 6 hours race of 66 kilometres from Kuala Koh National Park to Paloh II, Gua Musang, Kelantan. 6 of the participant is from Politeknik Kota Bharu Adventure Team.

The race, which is an eco-challenge, takes the member teams through adventure task by foot, kayak, water rafting and mountain bike in the wet monsoon season.

It is a true test of stamina and strength of mind to the participants when they have to face several muddy route due to non-stop rain.

The challenge organized by South Kelantan Development Authority (KESEDAR) is to create greater environmental awareness for the need to conserve and preserve our natural environment.

Extreme sports squad from Youth and sports Department (JBS) Negeri Sembilan and Salomon Power Bar respectively emerge champion for category invitation and open Gua Musang Eco Challenge 2009. Politeknik Kota Bharu Adventure Team occupies 9th place by bring home RM500 cash and certificate
